It started thirty years ago as Relayer — four guys who found each other through a shared faith in God and love of music and never let go of it, even as life pulled them in different directions.

Back then it was late nights and chemistry you can’t manufacture. But life has its own rhythm. Careers took root, marriages happened, and kids came along with all the beautiful chaos of raising a family. One by one, the guys stepped back from the stage to build their lives. The instruments came out less often, but the music never stopped playing.

Fast forward three decades. The kids are grown now, out of the house and building lives of their own. In that quieter season, the band’s leader made a call he’d been thinking about for a long time: “Let’s have another go.” One by one, the answer was yes.

Two years ago, Three of the four of them came back together — a little grayer, a lot wiser, and just as hungry to make music celebrating their faith as they were thirty years earlier. Rehearsals turned into something bigger. Then came Dave. A perfect fit for the bands missing bass player. They started writing again, and new songs began pouring out — shaped by everything they’d lived through in the years apart: faith, family, loss, gratitude, and hope.

This fall, that season of writing and practicing culminates in the release of their first studio recording in decades. And it’s just the beginning — starting this fall, the band plans to release new music as soon as the songs are completed, for as long as the songs keep coming.

The sound is upbeat, melodic pop-rock built on heartfelt, inspirational lyrics — music meant to lift people up. The mission goes beyond the recordings, too: the band is available to play, minister, and lend their music to outreach efforts, church and community events, and any gathering looking for a faith-based, uplifting sound with a genuine message behind it.
